The mesmerizing effect of this film ‘Baahubali’ has not only broken the language barrier but it has made us proud as an Indian. It is not at all a movie from the south but it is purely the Indian cinema talking about family drama of epic proportions. It has shattered the myth that big budget popcorn flicks can survive with the power of Computer Generated Imaginary ( CGI) only without an engaging story ( just like recent Avenger installments having no story core at all and one feels like that CGI budget has been wasted) . The high budget can only enhance the experience of the movie goer by supporting and executing the imagination of the director and the producer. This movie is pure unadulterated gold in terms of execution of that imagination in the fields of stunts, script, sets, background music etc. and augments the overall effect of the movie. One should not opt for critical dissection of the movie as one can see several gravity defying moments which will even make Rajnikant feel proud of. But the movie is all about being a part of the world created by S.S. Rajamouli ( the director) and team, ably and thankfully supported by Karan Johar. This collaboration has not only created a buzz and mystic about the movie ( starting from the 1st installment) but also marketed the franchise in a superb manner in social media which has generated a pan-India appeal. This ‘conclusion’ has many ‘The Lion King’ moments and you can’t ignore the resemblance of the Hollywood blockbuster with the story but it has abundant Indian flavor in the narrative to overcome our childhood nostalgia. The cast has reprised their role very well but for me Rana Daggubati as Bhallala Deva is at his evil best and has punched above his weight literally. Prabhas with his swagger and Anushka with her gritty role have also impressed but the true king of the movie is S.S. Rajamouli who, with his innovative way of presenting the stunts, has made everybody glued to the seats. It has now replaced ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ ( no intention of comparison) as the magnum opus ( as epic war drama) of Indian cinema and will be remembered for its innovation for many years to come. It will be a sin not to watch this movie in theaters. Even a 2nd watch will not bore you but it deserves to be watched on bigger screens and in well-equipped theaters. So get dragged in this euphoria of ‘Baahubali’….you will surely come outside with full satisfaction that it is worth of your spending…It will become the most successful Indian movie ever soon so be a part of the history asap.By the way now ‘nation doesn’t want to know’ that why Kattappa killed Baabhubali as the movie has answered it but in a little predictable way.
