Directed by Ravi Chopra, Produced by B.R.Chopra, Music by Adesh Srivastava, Lyrics Sameer.
First time Salman Khan was ready to sing a song for this film, but I don’t know…whether he sang or not, coz songs sang by Sonu Nigam, Kunal Ganjawala, and Ghazal Maestro Jagjit Singh.
Rani Mukheji’s role was initially offered to Kajol, and Preity Zinta was also considered.
Amrish Puri was set to play a role, but when he died, Om Puri played the role.
Balraj Kapoor (Big B) a rich businessman was happy and content with his wife Shobhana (Hema Malini) and a son Sallu. After studying abroad, Salman return home and entered Rani’s life. They get married and are soon blessed with a son. A tragedy strike in Balraj’s family when Salman is killed in an accident. The shock and loss is extreme beyond for Rani…and she slowly falls into a depression.
Here Amitabh’s role is to be seen when he plays to fight for his daughter. He seeks to bring happiness back into Rani’s life and get contact with John Abraham, infact John was Rani’s old friend and secretly he loved her but never told, (we are very familiar such type of script in Hindi cinemas). Amitabh asks John to marry his daughter. Om Puri played John’s elder brother role and has opposed this purposal…(after all even a family drama is incomplete without a twist…that’s what played by Om Puri).
After all we will watch a good family drama.
