What was Mr. Ravi Chopra thinking while scripting this awfully, dim-witted film? Can any body tell him we are living in modern 2000 eras and not on 19'era? ..

Yes I am talking about his directorial vehicle ''BAABUL''. Rani Mukherjee plays a usual *Bharatiya Sanskari Ideal girl, * her charm impresses the businessman Amitabh Bachchan's son Salman Khan. After few misunderstandings, they both reunite and get married and later are blessed with a baby boy. After few years later, Salman dies in a road accident which leads to Rani's devastation. So to bring happiness in her life Amitabh decides to get her re-married with her long lasting friend and secret admirer John Abraham, but for that he needs to face opposition from his entire family including his wife Hema Malini. The Basic Problem of the film is that the decision is taken by Amitabh and John, Here no one cares what Rani is going through. They don't even think of asking her what's her decision on it? Is she ready to rebuild her life?..

Comon Man!!! She has just now lost her husband, Can't they give time to her to heal the wound? Why always a women is denied from taking decision? Since it is the question of her and her son's life, Can she think ot it?These are the major eye-sore which makes Baabul tiresome and embarassing watch. RAJ KAPOOR'S PREM ROG too had a similar Widow re-marriage track but it was made keeping in mind the kinds of audience who lived that time. When you see such social-relevant films arrive, you expect some novelty and newness in it's procedure but sadly Baabul fails in it. AMITABH BACHCHAN, RANI MUKHERJEE & JOHN ABRAHAM are mercilessly wasted in a thankless roles which do not justify their acting ability. Songs byAadeshShrivastav is also the sore-point, barring ''Vaada Raha'' all other songs fails to make an impact and are lacklasture.

In the Nut-shell, BAABUL is an opportunity gone lost due to it's outdated screenplay and half-baked performance. Avoid it!!!!!
