Just recently moved to Bangalore and applied for a connection way back in Dec. 1st week. After 2+ months, I still don't have my connection. There is no place to really complain . you can send all the emails you want to customer care officers and PGM officers and what not(tried every one of them). You can try calling them up(and no one will pick up and if some one does, will give you another number to call who will in turn give you another number to call and the run around goes on).
After finally tracking down the office that was supposed to be responsible for my installation, the sub divistional engineer told me it was not installed because there is no BSNL line running into my apartment complex. Strange that no one thought of informing me about this. A day later, I see a BSNL lines man repairing someone's phone in my building and I almost feel like running back and kicking the sub-div engineers rear. Told the line man to fix my line and he did something to the lines but never got my connection working. Still a dead line and he never came back after repeated calls to him.
The sub-div engg. will of course not answer the phone or simply isn't there at work and obviously there is no where you can complain about him. I even sent in the complaint form to the commercial officer of BSNL who is responsible for all new connection enquiries. Nothing. Zip. Nada.
Thank god for cell phones that the landline connection is not an absolute must to have . but just a nice thing to have. However, I would still like to have it so that I can get a DSL connection.
To all you people thinking why I don't just go with Airtel or Hutch or Reliance or Tata Indicaom . unfortunately, none of them service the area where I am(Madivala, Bangalore) - yes, I asked each one of them before going to BSNL.
I give bsnl a zero star rating if I can.
