Bsnl evdo review. Review on BSNL EVDO

After reading all the reviews over here I decided to lay my hands on this device, but let me tell you friends it was not easy to get bsnl evdo connection. let me start off by telling you the customer service of bsnl staff.

The very first day when I went to the bsnl exchange here in dehradun to inquire about evdo, the staff didn had any clue, they all just kept sending me from one place to another and believe me I was totally up with their ignorance, so finally one staff member helped me out with my evdo queries.

So the very next day I went to the bsnl exchange with all my documents and form filled up and Rs1552 with me (i rented evdo card as I was not so sure about their service in my area) and it was Rs 4200 if you wanted to purchase the device.

But my bad luck , the guy who deals with evdo was on a holiday and the lady who was sitting over there refused to accept my form and told me to come tomorrow and submit my documents to the person who deals with evdo. so I went home empty handed..

Finally, I got my device the next day but he told me that it will take 3-4 days to get my services activated. so now as my evdo services are activated and let me share my experience with you guys . First of all I got this device on rent and initially I paid rs. 1552 which includes 1000 rs as a security deposit (which is refundable) and rs.500 as an activation charges plus Rs.52 as service tax. my monthly rental is Rs.650 plus Rs.200 rent plus tax.

I am getting all the five bars on my evdo, and the speed on an average is around 400-800 kbps while browsing and if I download from microsoft or an apple website I have seen speed touching upto 1916 kbps that's been my maximum speed even thugh only fr few seconds lol.. but on an average downloading speed is between 80-120 KBPS...

I dont download any stuff from torrents or any p2p sites, so dnt have any experience regarding that.. As of now I am very happy with their service and with Rs850-900 you gettin unlimited download with a decent speed is not a bad deal. I think bsnl is providing their services very cheap as compared to private companies like tata and reliance but their tariffs are freaking costly with limited bandwidth to use.

But before buying evdo device please make sure with your exchange whether your area is covered to receive this service. that's all I had to say in my review
