Initially when broadband became popular in Chennai, I decided to get one for my home. But I had Airtel or Tata in mind. But their service had not started in my area, and so I decided to go with BSNL Dataone.
Till date, this has been a wonderful service provider for me. I am able to get pretty good speed in my broadband. The speed is higher than what I get in my office (where the service provider is Airtel, and it is a leased line).
There are a number of plans to choose from according to the requirements. Initially I had taken Home 500 plan, which has a download limit of 1 GB. Now I plan to upgrade to 900 plus plan, so that I can get unlimited download capacity.
The free hours is from 2 AM to 8 AM. That is the only drawback. They could change the free hours to some earthly hours. Otherwise, this is a trouble-free and excellent service.
I have recommended Dataone to a lot of my friends, and they are all now satisfied users of Dataone.
