Dialing BSNL customer care number….. tring tring …. tring tring … tring tring … Welcome to BSNL... Please hold the line, you're in queue …After 15 minutes:BSNL Customer Service Rep (BCSR): This is how can I help you? ME: Yeah, I have a prepaid BSNL connection, can you kindly let me know how I can convert it to postpaid? BCSR: You go to the nearest customer service centre & you’ll get details about that.ME: Hmm okay, Can you let me know what are the post paid plan available with BSNL.BCSR: You go to the nearest customer service centre & you’ll get details about that..

ME: Err, I stay in Vignan Nagar, can you at least let me know which is nearest customer service centre to my place?BCSR: You go to the nearest customer service centre & you’ll get details about that.ME: (Fainted) Well, this is a true instance, & it’s my experience with BSNL customer care that they are trained for only one answer to all queries “You go to the nearest customer service centre & you'll get details about that”. Now, are you asking about the quality of customer care at BSNL?

Buddy, I don't know what the heck Greek & Latin you're talking about? Well, coming straight to the point, I'm having a prepaid mobile account with BSNL & wanted to convert it to postpaid. I tried calling the BSNL customer care “N” number of times, but every time I got the same answer. (You guessed it right pal). I tried sending a mail to the mail id mentioned on their consumer grievances portal but the mail bounced back L as the mail id doesn't exist (like their customer care).

Well, I've been using the BSNL prepaid account for couple of years now & I must say that the coverage of BSNL (You'll get a BSNL coverage in almost every villages & towns) is considerably okay, though the signal bar keeps playing the hide & seek game & you sometime can’t make calls even the signal is showing high bars. I'd opted for BSNL considering the coverage & the lower tariffs, but nowadays most of the major private mobile player has comparable tariffs & coverage.

I’s keen to continue with BSNL for my postpaid needs, as I’s in no mood to change my cell number, but now considering the pathetic customer support (as, after postpaid connection I may need to deal with the BSNL customer support very often) I've decider to switch over to Airtel. I am eager to know if someone has a different opinion about BSNL’s customer support & if he/ she has got an excellent customer support from BSNL at anytime.
