My experience

Mobile Sim:

I have been using BSNL since long years. When I bought my first mobile phone, BSNL was the only network option at that time. I belong to the north-east zone of India. Hence, BSNL is the only option which is available at remote areas too. BSNL was providing good service since 7-8 years back in our state. Currently their service has turned into a worst one. They provide exciting offers occasionally but the cost are too high and network coverage is worst. Today, I use BSNL due to its availability in remote areas or else I have subscribed to other networks too. Top up recharge of BSNL is very high. Whenever I call someone from my BSNL sim, everytime I find difficulty in talking with others like- sound problems, echo sounds, etc. Mostly, I can't hear others in the mid of the calls. But, I am so helpless that I have to use this network for remote area purpose. I don't recommend it to the people staying in urban areas.Stay away from their offers, its just a way to loot the people.

Landline:

Earlier, I was having a BSNL landline phone too. Three years back, we disconnected the landline. Basically, we applied for the landline was due to the unavailability of mobile network during those days. Later on, when the mobile network service arrived, we still kept it due to the broadband connection needed by my daughter. BSNL provides good broadband network with a good speed. Only problem was the server issue which was mostly down due to heavy rains or other reasons.

The reason why we left the landline is due to bad experiences. Me and my wife, both are having our own cellphones and we used to use the landline very rare. After my daughter left for higher studies, there was almost none who used to use the landline connection. Few months later, I noticed that our phone bill amount was too high even though we didn't use the phone. It was about some Rs 1500/-. Me and my wife was shocked to see the bill.We thoroughly complained about the bill at the BSNL office. The office people were denying about the fault in the bill. They don't even bother to check once. Since, one of our family friend use to work in the BSNL office, so, we approached him. He was in some officer's rank in the BSNL department of our area. He agreed to help us and the investigation found that the bill was faulty. The BSNL people misprinted the bill with other person's bill out of negligence. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to find their fault due to our family friend but it doesn't mean that everyone will be that much lucky. Hence, we disconnected the landline connection. Many of my colleagues complained same type of issues.

No Recommendation:

Overall, BSNL broadband speed is good but their landline connection mostly gives faulty bills to the people as per my experience. I don't even recommend the mobile network service to the people staying in urban areas. Stay away from their offers, its just a way to loot the people.
