I had been using Airtel Broadband which is the best nationwide but Airtel service started deteriorating since 2013 .I am a very heavy user so I had taken the 4mbps unlimited plan with fup of 175 gb and it was very expensive imho.
This plan was upgraded by me last year only when my fup data used to get exhausted in only 15 days(then I was using 4 mbps till 100 gb fup plan).
The service although deteriorating was still A minus atleast. Then all of a sudden my connection stopped working last month due to some'technical fault'. Apparently due to a huge technical fault around 200 connections were affected around my area. Only the landline was working.
After n number of complaints and 5 days of headache I decided to look for a new connection . I tried for reliance wireline broadband even though they had some very negative reviews but the cheap plans without any FUP limit really seemed mouth watering only to find out that they are not available in my area. I tried for Tata Indicom wireline broadband which is also not available in my area.
At this point I became desperate so I decided to try Tikona even though they are called day light robbers and what not . But then I seemed to notice a 4 mbps plan from BSNL which had fup limit of 175 gb, only for NCR, HYDERABAD and some other cities only for 2250/-. Its been a month and it has been a better experience than airtel . I can't believe they are actually giving good service. The downtime in the whole of the month has been 5 minutes .
Even airtel used to stop working around 1Am for an hour of half an hour. I am actually saving a lot of money because airtel ffed up. Thanks airtel. Although I hate airtel for overcharging but I still think they are the best and I admire them but beware of Tikona . I have read such horror stories about them when I was researching, All the good reviews you find here or any other site is because they are paying them . All the good reviews for tikona are paid ones. I know mouthshut is a great and honest site but all the good reviews about Tikona are paid if you look closely. I actually heard some one saying that Tikona hona matlab sukh chain khona.
