While we purchased the microwave with Grill quite sometime ago, we have not been using it often - especially the Grill+Microwave option. Why? Well, there seems to be something wrong, when we use both the grill and the microwave together .. the microwave stops working - fuse blows off! One one of the 250 rupees per visit by a mechanic to 'rectify the mistake', I observed that there is a 8 ampere fuse required inside the microwave (that is what was mentioned on the small Printed Circuit Borad (PCB) which was blowing off .. he was just replacing that .... and why does it blow off .. the combined (grill + microwave) untilization worked at 2.3 kWatt and with 230 volts .. Ohms law says that it will need 2300/230 = 10 amp of current to flow through the circuit .. while the PCB design says that it should be 8 amp! so the fuse blows off ...
I have a strong feeling that there is some design flaw. I tried to mention this to the mechanic who put a 10amp fuse .. but I am not confident of using because .. what this means is that the fuse will allow 10 amps .. but does the circutry inside does it allow .. so I don't use it ..... I have not written to BPL though ..
Has anyone faced such problem?
