Though the BMTC buses in bangalore are available in Madiwala round the clock, they are too crowded at the peak hours. The buses going toward Indiranagar from Baneshankari are numerous, but the crowd in the buses are intolerable.
The private cabs of the various companies which go empty in this route are playing a significant role in reducing the congestion in BMTC buses. Though the companies don't want their cabs to be utilised like this, as it is illegal, but I assume the companies will serve their social responsibility towards society in this way.
Till the government comes out with a pakka mass transportation system it is the best alternative available readily without any further expenditure. So major companies like wipro, TCS, infosys(whose vehicles on the road is maximum at peak hour) should be allowed to use their cabs for mass transportation in the peak hours. Even though it is illegal the system as of now is in win-win position.
The passanger gets hassle free travel experience at the same cost. The driver gains the money. The traffic police if finds out this gets his bribe. The company which owns/rents this cab is fulfilling social responsibility(unknowingly). Cool isn't it. NOTE: On safety measure avoid cabs on secluded routes and off peak timings in all routes.
