Odeon at cannaught place the very name of the theater, the nearness feel and the very presence of delhi people who just show their high profiles only at odeon.
Odeon means a status to enter.
I was just 19 years old when i visited this cinema hall, and the only theater in delhi i can say with confidance of telling that no theater in delhi ever gave impression feel.
Why odeon is so special.
Yes the very presence in cannaught place and though the regal theater is also just few distance away from odeon , one just forget regal inspite of crowd did enter regal but odeon was simply talk of the town.
Talk of the town.
Yes if any one invited with ticket who would refuse the chance of odeon experience.
It was not just a place for viewing film.
Before the show started, the very waiting at the entrance and once you enter through the glass door and before you get into the inside theater, the waiting place just made one to expose so one could watch delhi society at large.
Only this theater i felt girls showed prettiness.
I dont know why, i found girls, married woman all looked so pretty, and it was a great treat for eyes to enjoy the feel of their high profile and also the very presence with perfume adoring the place and english words did got emitted and i loved the feel of being there.
If a teen aged could like it how about grown up. Yes grown up handsome men, boys, teen aged and ofcourse many did enter this place just for the joy of it. Everything was pleasing in odeon. Of course six years after also i visited this place and not able to remember the film i saw but i rejoiced felt.
How about now.
The first thing when i visit delhi next year will be the very first day i want to visit this theater. I like to meet the owner of this theater. Yes i like to present my happiness feelings to the owner of this theater and also give him lovely presents.
Why.
Odeon is simply my one of the first love in delhi.
How can one love odeon.
So many times when i was in delhi in the year 1969 i used to stand infront of odeon and staring like one stare at a beautiful girl, there was no diffrence in my feelings for this theater, it was simply fettish.
What makes me to write this even now.
My inner feelings tell, some places can never get erased in ones life, how can you forget your first romance, first love and first feel of being inside this theater and enjoy the film.
I never felt bored in this theater.
Now when i come to delhi , i like to see at least three films here and also talk to each person involved in this theater, from ticket booth place to the gate keeper to any one who is who for this odeon i like to shake hand with them.
Why.
This is my weakness.
A comparison with connaught place:
The odeon cinema lies like a beautiful woman or girl like forever at cannaught place and one can say if cannaught place can be called as heritage place in delhi and i must add odeon also as equal to cannaught place because it is like a jewel placed there.
