After the cnversion this theatrehas become the best multiplex as far as I have seen .Had sterling been still operational it would have been still better but not now.The screens and the sitting and speaker arrangement are all perfect - if one is to watch a film right from the centre and I never sit elsewhere.I always enjoy films in this theatre a lot as I clearly hear and see a difference in the sound and picture quality of metro adlabs and cinemax and rassaz.All are multiplexes and have dolby /DTS systems but they cant come up to the quality of metro adlabs.
Recently I saw this namaste london once in rassaz then in cinemax mira road and then at metro adlabs--there was a claer cut difference in sound and picture.Where as picture was more crystal the sound was more crisp and clear .i saw this pathetic film thrice just for three songs.and when the songs come one can find a clear difference in sound atleast - but one has to be seated right in the middle say on 11-12-13 any one of these seats from the projector side.and on visiting dtsonline I found that all good theatres have dts installed still there is difference in sound.
The reason is the quality of the cd player and the quality of the midrange , woofers and tweeters used by these cinema owners differs thus the finally reproduced sound changes its shape till it reaches our ears.i am a sound recordist actually so I just wanted to share my views if anyone has noticed the differences.Metro adlabs is the best theatre in mumai as far as my view is concerned.
