Bhagat Tarachand is a fabulous place to eat and not die of food poisoning particularly if your stomach is sensitive. The chubby gentleman in Zaaveree Bazzaar is super and the staff not overbearing. They are just used to churning out customers at a brisk pace. Given the fact that the restaurant is near the temple in a super cramped street, the meal takes you away and makes you forget the untidiness and the cramped surroundings. The flavors, the colors and most importantly the simplicity is something that is priceless and reminds me of the pristine village food in our Hindustan - clean, green and refreshing. Wow take it away BTg. Also, they remember you despite the super fast customer turnaround - Pizza Hut take lessons and Burger King, Mc's and the what-have-you of fast foods buckle up.
Pizza Hut- nauseating customer service and god help you if you complement someones service - the rest of the staff will fail to notice your calling out to them. And as far as fast food burgers are concerned; with the McD's and BKings and KFC's the very thought of how old the already frozen burgers are frightens me to the very core. Even more surprising is how parties are encouraged in these frozen outlets which can only be of detriment - unless of course the children are regularly being cleaned - colon-wise - I fail to understand why and how this slavish fast food trend continues.
In contrast, the soft home made rotees of BTg is out of this world. And, I'm wondering whether they have other outlets. I'd love to hear from other Mumbaikaars in this regard as BTg is a recent discovery and an awesome one at that. Jai Hind! I love Mumbai, Hindustan and BTg's.
