I have priority account with AXIS bank, a loan account & a forced credit card. First I opened an account with AXIS bank as it was quite close to my residence. I used to transfer my entire salary in this account. I dont know on some basis my account become priority, my minimum balance criteria increased that was expected but in return, I was expecting some better services.


But I didnt see the difference. In fact going through priority channel used to take more time for a simple job rather than non-priority at the outside counters. But that was still fine. Based on this I decided to take a housing loan. AXIS bank mentioned you are priority account holder so go with us. The biggest mistake of my life to apply through AXIS. I had taken property from resale market and obviously there is lot less time involved plus no extension. The sales person committed that there are no issues with my documents and eligibility and I will get the sanction within 10 days.


I was shocked to see AXIS bank back end teams tone was totally different as if they are doing a favour. They kept on asking for documents that never required but if you question, they will say your choice. As I was already 2 weeks in the process, I had no choice but to follow. I ended up giving documents of my complete khandaan (extended family) that too in piece meal manner.


There was no checklist or single query. Finally after 1.5 months of struggle, loan was sanctioned. Now the day when registry is planned, intimated AXIS bank 1 week in advance  and also repeated reminders but they didnt bother. The cheque issue is still on process. The day of registry morning, I called up, I am going for registry please be there but no reaction. After a lot of fight since morning and waiting 7 hours at registry office and lot of fights finally AXIS bank person arrived.


My friend also faced similar situation with AXIS bank so its a common practice for AXIS Bank.


AXIS bank also requested me to make some Mutual fund investments through them earlier but later when I wanted to get them redeemed, these guys had no idea to do it. I had to struggle with Mutual funds companies for my funds though I am a priority customer :)


Finally the conclusion is I have closed and in process of closing all my services with AXIS Bank as I had enough. I have accounts with multiple banks but I have never seen such an unprofessional services. Never call or email customer care, they have no information and will say that they cant do anything.
