Hello Friends,
I live in Kolkata and had a savings bank account with Axis bank with Rs 2500 as minimum balance. Suddenly, one fine day I saw my savings account was debited with Rs 2000. I called the customer care and they told me that I had not maintained my minimum monthly balance for 2 months but as I could remember I always maintained the minimum balance as I knew if not maintained then they will charge me.
I said my minimum balance was always Rs 2500 but to my surprise they said it is Rs 10000 now but I told them that I was not informed by the bank regarding this new change in my account and requested to credit this amount back but they did nothing.
I think this is cheating and any new changes should be intimated to the trusted customer via phone, email or sms. In this case nothing was done. I feel myself cheated and finally I had closed this account for ever as going forward I couldn't trust this bank.
