Come my love….make my heart skip a bit or two!

Never liked Imraan Hashmi the serial kisser, but a look at Awarapan made me realize that Mahesh Bhatt can make anybody and everybody act in his beautifully crafted stories. Ahem ahem! now I see to my right and see, it's ripped off. Or is it the charisma of Mohit Suri’s directorial abilities that Awarapan touched a chord or two of mine!

Tu pura story hai baap!*

A run of the mill one! Done to death- bad boy meets good girl, bad loves the lady more than his life, bad boy does not get the girl and he become worst. A lunatic without an aim in life and he just kills at the order of his master.

Aao Twist karein!*

One fine day his master asks him to spy on a girl who’s his master’s mistress and slave- whom the master has bought from a ugly flesh market of Singapore. Two days of hot chase with a peppy song number and a real screechy, scary U turn on sighting a car reveals that the slave girl has indeed fallen for some boy.

Main kya karun Ram mujhe…….*

That is exactly what the bad boy asks his master. Sitting in London his master is heartbroken and visibly shaken, this kind of special affects on some one’s face shows that he or she is really in love with someone! But bad bad boss he is- he asks his pet to kill the girl- if she is not mine then don’t let her be someone else’s too! The impending moral of his command!

Yummy Mayonnaise Sandwich*

Sandwiched in between the start and end we see sumptuous Southern lass as Emraan’s love and how bad boy slowly turning to good. And just when you are about to fall for her doe eyes and petal lips. You find her dead for no mistake of her. And that was the turning point for our hero to raise the volume of his lunatic criminal life. But the Southern lass sacrifice did not go in vain and before leaving for heavenly abode she gave the bad boy the trick to find her in heaven- no not the flat number and lane number! but the actual trick that will set him free to meet her in heaven after his mortal life

Shot no 43 take 7…… ACTION…*

As ordered by his master the bad boy goes to kill the slave girl but somehow he could not- not that he was incapable but this time the life was playing a different game with our bad boy! Angered to hilt by his pet’s disobedience! The Big bad boss lets all hell loose on our bad boy and then he finally chose to adhere to what her “now in heaven” girl asked him to do if he really wants to meet her again after death!

Neck deep in love, remorse, anger, hatred, our bad boy set himself for nirvana. He is now hell bent to set the girl free from the deadly clutches of his bad bad boss. And what follow is all bullets in triplet and quadruplet….shooting everyone who comes between his and his mission to set the girl free and set himself free for now and forever

now that the storriiiie is over you have with you lovable, hum-able songs that is always a specialty of Vishesh Films.Leaving the first peppy number fit for discs the other two are just soul stirring and you will love to hear them on your home theater. Go back to the menu and just press songs. The treat is still not over!

Typical of Vishesh Films their subject always deals with some burning issue mostly related to crime against women. Awarapan showcases the gory side of flesh trade rampant in Middle East and South East Asia. How a life is treated as an entity and people indulge in buying selling of petite girls haling from economically and socially weak strata of a country or a society.

Recommendations ka zamana hai! *

I find this movie an entertainer and found Emraan to be a good actor. The new lady face and the Southern Lass is a treat to watch. Ashish Vidyatharti and Ashutosh Rana  together make a formidable baddie duo! A must watch for all those who preferred to give it a miss. Watch it atleast for the sake of two sumptuous miss here and you won’t be disappointed my friend.
