I have purchased Aviva Save Guard unit linked policy in December 2006. Problems started straight from the purchase.


At the time of activation insurance agent wrongly marked my funds and put Secure fund part in growth fund. God knows how they can do that? May be more commission for them in that.


Soon after that my agent/advisor Amardeep singh and Neetu (Both chased me for months to sell this policy) disappeared. They Stopped attending calls and told me that they quit Aviva and can't provide any services. Any idea who will provide me services in future? Aviva don’t have any idea for sure.


Later I have to switch my monthly ECS from ABN to Kotak Bank. After 18 months efforts, several mandate submission and advance deposits, I am nowhere. They just encash advance cheaques and never make any ECS request to bank.


I lodged complain and follow up same complain number at customer care around 6-8 months and issue escalated by several executives like Surendra, Nanda, Alpita, Durba, Suresh, Manager Harleen. Off-corse with thousand apologies and promises on each call. Than I went to branch office several times, 2-3 times there systems were not working. Than they informed me that


Aviva system got some virus and all ECS are trashed, so one more mandate, means again 6 thousand advance. Still nothing works. Even after 3 months advance with each mandate form, I keep receiving 2 types of SMS alerts and letters. One says policy is lapsed, another says ECS will hit as per my mandate. On calling care executives tells new story and false excuses. Some of the replies by their officers, and executives that you can not believe:




  1. We don't know but there is some banking issue




  2. We can not do anything, system has a problem, please discard alerts and letters that you are receiving or we can stop all correspondence for your account.




  3. Our system has some virus in Feb and all ECS get vanished, this is not only you who are getting problems.




  4. Going at branch wont help, what all they will do is escalate issue on system same as we do. Don’t worry, it will be solved soon (In my case it is 18 months of escalation already) CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY POOR. For some other friend of mine, same story; missing agents and strange customer care replies. Please do not buy any AVIVA product
