I would say, going for Aviva Life Insurance is the worst decision I made in my life.I obtained the policy in 2008( 5+ year as on today) and I have paid a premium of Rs.1, 57, 500. My current fund value is 1, 41, 325( as on 28/10/2013) . And the most sad thing is the fund value is so low even when market is on 20K+ .
I really don't understand what Aviva is doing with my hard earned money. I really don't understand people who made positive comments of Aviva. And I strongly believe those are paid reviews. I challenge people who posted positive feedback for Aviva or "Aviva Insurance Team" to provide me proof of earnings more than PPF / NSC or Fixed Deposit in a nationalized bank.
From my past experience, I plead to people not to go for Aviva Insurance (I am not commenting on other insurance providers since I dont have insurance with someone else). I request common people to go for NSC / PPF or Fixed Deposit so they will have at least 8% appreciation Year on Year.
