Aviva Online term Plan Aviva i-life is a ploy by Aviva to get customtakeouter by offering low premiums and then increasing the same after medical tests . It nothing but plain cheating of gullible customtakeouters. I took an online term plan from Aviva NUP75030457 for which the premium  was Rs.8582 for a 30 year healthy, non smoking male. After the medical examination even though everything was  normal they have increased the premium by 75% by Rs.6602 which is higher  than other policies. Aviva is clearly using low premium to attract  customtakeouters. The company is not ready to give back the premium even when I  want to cancel the policy.

I thought I was the only customtakeouter to have this experience and when I searched online I found that this has happened for so many customtakeouters who took the plan because of the low premium. I have also written to complaints@irda.gov.in  about the ploy that is being used by Aviva.

Beware if you are taking the Aviva plans, the premium that they say first may not be the actual ones and even though they said medical tests are free when I initially called the customtakeouter care now they are saying that 5000 Rs will be reduced for a medica test worth 400 Rs. Dont opt for Aviva i-life because of low premium

Brand Response

Dear Ozil_Masi,
We regret the inconvenience. However please do note that the policy premium may get increased post medicals as the mortality risk may increase. This is a common practise across the industry. Please do write in with your contact details to social@avivaindia.com and we would like to connect with you on the same.
Regards,
Aviva Customer Services Team
