Bought this pure term online plan 3 years back, after considering & searching almost all possible options. The initial premium was very attractive and a term option for 35 years further sealed the deal. Paid the premium instantly after filling up the online form, but their response in arranging a medical test was very lethargic after that. Have to follow up quite a few times. Once through with the medical test, the premium was surprisingly further reduced as the tests came out quite good. This was a totally unexpected pleasant surprise, and further showed Aviva's honesty in dealing with its clients.
When discussed with friends/colleagues about my Online Term Plan with Aviva, as expected, many had their pre-conceived notions about these new private players. Many of them suggested LIC, being a trusty worthy player in this field. But LIC's premium was way too high for a pure term plan, infact it was nearly 5-6 times more expensive than Aviva's. Furthermore, the Govt. run IRDA is their too safe-guard consumers against any cheap tactic played by any of the players in this field.
I will strongly suggest Aviva's iLife plan to every working individual to cover their families & loved ones against all odds in life.
