I bought Aviva Life Long Policy in Feb 2005, I have already completed 4 years & 6 months without any lapse in the policy. Due to some urgent requirement I took this decision to surrender this policy. I approached their Customer Care Centre, I was shocked to know about the huge Panelty amount around 40% which they told me in case if I surrender this policy.
I also discussed with them that these charges were not informed to me when I bought this policy. I told them about my Agent details who sold this policy to me without informing me about the surrender charges. His name is Mohd Shaikh belongs to Aviva Pune Branch & his contact no is 9860085392. I approached this agent to discuss about huge surrender charges which he didn’t inform to me but this Agent has now switched off his mobile.So its clearly a mis selling case. There are hidden charges which are being imposed now without clearly mentioned in the policy documents. I went through Policy documents in details & found nothing about such charges.
I have now decided to approach Consumer Court, Lets see what happens.
