Superb is not a word for this masterpiece. A perfect example of an out of box thinking.
The movie starts with a profound theme, it renovates to a new dimension of Hollywood cinematic experience -etched out in detail.
A trip to Pandora was grand, in which he introduces us to the peace-loving indigenous inhabitants. Factually Cameroon plays the role of a GOD, in which he crafts the Pandora not to his predilection but for the whole world. Avatar is an eloquent testimonial to the present and a Worship- Out of the Box.
The film begins in the year 2154, On Pandora, human colonists and the sapient humanoid indigenous inhabitants of Pandora, the Na'vi, engage in a war.In this futuristic world, the US Armed Forces discover a source of priceless minerals in Pandora, a distant moon orbiting a star. They want to send in their troops to tame the indigenous Na'vi people, before extracting the minerals. But before they send their daisy-cutters and rocket launchers, they send in humans who have been transformed into Na'vi look-a-likes(they call them avatars) to infiltrate the peace-loving race and learn about their weaknesses and strengths. Enter, Jake Sully(Sam Worthington), a paraplegic marine, who is promised a pair of legs for betraying the pacifists of Pandora. It doesn't take long before Jake falls in love with the beautiful Neytiri(Zoe Saldana), the daughter of the Na'vi chief, and turns rogue on his own people.
With the help of photo-realistic computer-generated characters, the movie is just an experience, which lingers in your memory for a long time.
Avatar is indeed a complete cinematic experience, with cinematographer Mauro Fiore, music director James Horner and special effects maestro Joe Letteri joining hands with director/screenwriter James Cameron to create a strong and visually-stirring plea to save the world, before it is too late.
Just experience it in 3D, Coz movies like these are gift to this generation.
Thumbs up to Cameroon, Sam, Zoe and the entire crew for such a state of the art masterpiece.
Do watch it in 3D, that’s how he intended for it to be seen.
