Nice try!. Review on Avalon, Vile Parle, Mumbai

Well there are many places to party in mumbai city!

And I am no authority when it comes to nightlife...I'd prefer a more sombre environment .. more of a pub person..

But once in a while the dancing bug bites and takes over the system and I just cant help but say that I NEED to partay!

Well one of such bouts I went to Avalons.. this is definitely one of the bigger discs I have seen .. situtated next to centaur ( the old one next to the airport remember??) now its nothin more than ruins!) hotel at Bawa International..

I went there on a saturday night, wait.. morning at 2:30 in the morning..

Entry- couples Rs 600 Stags - guys-Rs 1000 / girls- Rs 200 ..

Fair enough I say .. when u enter the place there is def more eye candy for guys than girls!

the pub is in the basement and mind you the bouncers are very intimidating, so no funny stuff here..

Mirrors all over the place ( maybe that is why the place looked big!) and the lightin is also very dim ... mostly uv lights and disco lights(yeah that is how cool I get) except at the bar.. I must warn ppl that please DO NOT wear white under garments if ur ever plannin to go there.. it is just too obvious!

The bar.. ah the bar! occupies the central area ... the bar is also a very special place ( esp for me) they have a special show for a split second at the bar.. wherein the bartender does this whole juggling act with alcohol bottles on fire( honestly I say that is a waste of alcohol but waht the heck...) the bartender is good wiht the tricks...well remember all the money u spend at the entry .. good news its all cover charge..and the place is not all that expensive so u can afford to drink ...

The boundaries of the room are marked by well cushioned sofas.. for the love struck ppl who cant find rooms big enough to make out..

The music, frankly was all rubbish.. the dj kept goin from one hindi remix to another.. then when he got bored he took out stuff from the early 90s, then when he got bored he repeated the songs! and yeah for a dj he talks too much!

Anyways... the music system is decent .. not blaring music.. loud enough to keep ur heart thumping and soft enough so that u can have a conversation with the person next to u.

The crowd that visits this place is very good .. in fact no one really cares abt waht ur doin which is good... so no ogling and giggling.. everyone has a good time.. and u get to spot lotsa celebrities too..!

The fun part is one when u get to dance in front of the mirror.. its a kick for most ppl...I know when I was there.. there were ppl literally fighting for that spot!

Well, I think the place is great if u really are desperate to go dancing and wanna stay out till 6 am .. yeah the place is open till then...

If ur looking for good music... err dont go anywhere near...

But if u have good company and music really doesnt matter... u should definitely give this place a try
