Pours a Golden yellow color, moderate white head. Aroma of banana, clove, wheat, and some yeast. Mouthfeel is incredibly soft, very smooth. Typical weizen flavors, but they come across so nicely from the palate.. Thick, treacly texture, no real finish or aftertaste. Quite enjoyable. Good palate with a light hopped crisp finish. superior taste & smoothness, best strong beer in india.
my Khoj for the best beer in the indian subcontinent ends here. I like it strong but not the typical Desi type. I hate Haywards 5000which is Overly bitter, tastes like karela juice. A mix of water and Desi liquor. But finally on my last trip to hyderabad in March 2004 I found Australian Max. The name is a bit misleading since Australian beers are not that good in india. I believe these guys are from Canada/Germany. Not sure.
This is also a recommended beer for those who want to drink but dont want to get caught. With its smoothness and no smell what so ever, will be a good one.
I bet this will be the fastest growing beer brand.
