I have never liked the Australian cricket team’s on field behaviour going way back to the 1960s. Tonight’s t20 game saw a new low. There was a mountain of complaints and questioning of umpires decisions. There was throwing back of heads when decisions were made that they didn’t agree with (eg wides). Wade especially guilty of this. The worst was a run-out decision near the end of the game when nearly all the Australians converged on the umpire to question and whinge.
Same old story with Aust cricket teams. When things don’t go their way, they complain, exhibit poor body language, question the umpire and ramp up the sledging of opposition batters.
How about the captain stepping in to stop all this? Tonight Marsh just seemed to join in with the poor behaviour.. they need to accept the umpire’s decision and just get on with the game. Sandpaper gate doesn’t seem to have tempered the arrogance of this team
Not a good look for the game and not a good role model for young players.
