this is a new initiative that iam trying to do which is very debatable and sensitive.This article iam writing after Australia won its
third world cup in a row and which no other nation had done it before is named as Being Australian Cricket means "
undefeatable"this word must be included in the dictionary as a new meaning for AUSTRALIAN CRICKET.
yes iam absolutely right. Australia is the team which presently looks undefeatable at any circumstances and under any
situation.The remarkable third consecutive world cup victory has given them a standard which is never achieved by any nation
or team in one day cricket.Australia has achieved all cricket glory since their shocking exit in 1992 World Cup at their very
Home Land.Since then Australia has never looked back and dominated the World Cricket mostly being unbeatable.The
reason for this extraordinary feat is mainly contributed by all time greats, Glen McGrath, Shane Warne, Steve Waugh, Mark
Waugh, Ricky Ponting, Mark Taylor, Mathew Hayden, and Adam Gilchrist .These players are not only oneday specialist but
have earned distinction in Test Arena too.
To Start with their Journey started way back in 1993 in ENGLAND when they regained the Ashes. The team had youngsters
like Steve Waugh, Mark Waugh, Shane Warne, and had experience of Mark Taylor and Craig Mcdoermet.This team then
went on to win the Test Series in West Indies(at that point of time no team had defeated the Caribeans in their home
land since 26 years), which saw the entry of Glen Mcgrath and Damien Fleming.After that the ACB decided that they will be
consistent in winning overseas tours. They brought in fresh talent and excel all heights. They changed the format of PURA CUP
and their domestic oneday Cricket in such a way that only in form players shall be picked for the national team and any
consistent failure shall be dropped.Australia become only team to defeat all the TEST PLAYING NATIONS by 2000 in 8
years and in 2003 it became only team to defeat all the TEST PLAYING NATIONS in their land(the last one was INDIA) in
the decade.They achieved milestones like winning consecutive 16 Test in a row which looks a distant challenge for a very very
long time, defeating pakisthan in pakisthan, defeating westindies in westindies and most important whitewashing south africa in
South Africe who is rated as second best team in world cricket then and now.They simply became "undefeatable".
Mark Taylor the captain of the team which entered the final of 1996 World Cup held at sub continent was instrumental in the
rise of Champions.His 1996 team was fully capable of defeating Srilanka but a few decision in the final played at LAHORE
went against them including the denial of LBW of Arvinda De Silva when he was early in the crease.Taylor had leader ship
qualities to a level on sticking to the basics, which proved good.The team became undefeatable on fast pitches as Australia
dominated the battle in South Africa, WestIndies, New Zland, Pakisthan and Zimbabwe.Only regret he was not able to beat
INDIA in INDIA.While for the Ashes, England simply were not able to defeat them, simply they were undefeatable.
Then Came his successor, Steve Waugh.Steve Waugh became captain when team were reaching new heights, but still yet that
has to be maintained.His team achieved a stupendous record of 16 Consecutive Test Wins which I think no team ever ever
ever can achieve.Ricky Ponting the vice captain got lot of learning from the Captaincy of Steve Waugh.Steve retained all the
Ashes in which he was Captain and he used the talent of Glen Mcgrath, Shane Warne, Micheal Bevan and Adam Gilchrist to
the maximum of his benefit.Further as Mr. Dependable he played a lot of important knocks and his semifinal century against
south africa in 1999 world cup helped them to lift the cup.And then started the journey of " undefeatable"
The credit for being undefeatble should be given to Captain Ricky Ponting, the captain of two world cup wins, i.e 2003 and
2007.His team is still undefeated in the World Cup for 29 matches, a record which I think no team can achieve in near
future.Ponting as captain never failed at all in ONEDAYS, he always played champion knocks and the pressure of being
captain never harmed him and he is performing the given job like a true sparta and as a true proffessional.He defeated all the
teams including the Test Series Win in INDIA which was considered his major win although he was not captain in two test and
whatmore?, he scored more centuries as captain than as a team member.Only black spot in his career he lost Ashes in 2005.
Mcgrath, Shane Warne, Justin Langer, Mathew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist were called Legends of Cricket under his
leadership.The Kangaroos now have dominated everything in world cricket.They have achieved everything in cricket and won
every tournament to which they have participated.
It is very strange and shocking that not a single team since latest have beaten them convincingly and dominate Australia.There
were few players who were significant in this Australia team image, but never were consistent, still they were pillars for this
team, few of them are Matthew Elliot, Staurt Macgill, Greg Blewett, Micheal Kapsoriwch, Ian Healy and Micheal Bevan.This
team of Australia is still undefeated and has an extra edge to defeat in comparision with other teams.They have the record
which no other team can break it.They are simply unbeatable do whatever you can, but still, end of the day Australia wins.
Thus When somebody says undefeated and unbeatable it can be referred as " Being Australian Cricket", a term I would
dedicate to the Winning, Positive and Aggressive Attitude of hardcore fighters Australian Cricketers.
