Baadshaahat Bhaichaare ko nahin dekhti- Kingship knows no Kinship” as Rishi Kapoor affirms in a slightly arid, and dangerously skeptical voice. The Power which role plays in the whole system be it in form of Politicians or Corporatisation and giving way to “Collection Centres” ; tuning Villages to the Tone of Dark, Grey, Concrete and Heartless Gurgaon. The Movie is supposed to make a Deep Impact but it won’t- for once because nobody is going to find anything amiss in the movie. This is how it is, isn't this how it is supposed to be, I mean now you cannot be kidding but that is how you assume Power, Kill in Cold Blood, Severe Family Ties and Build up an Empire. Audience would Guffaw and Have a Bored-To-Death Expression by saying “Saala kuch mazaa nahin aaya”.

“Aurangzeb” as a Historical Figure was alone able to bring the Mughal Empire Down from its Magnifecence to Treachery, Murder and Power-Hunger games. Single-handedly destroying all that which was built by a very Fair “Akbar” . Come to the movie and you realise that we have a similar Power-Hunger game going on in reel/real life. People are used as pawns, against each other, puppetted and removed very conveniently off the game if they appear as hindrances.

While Aurangzeb is about Ajay and Vishal(Arjun Kapoor in twin role)being slated as that one would win in the end and succeed to the throne, its actually about Ravikant(Rishi Kapoor) vying for that Power. Arya(Prithiviraj) dwindling between two. While Neena( Amrita Singh) tries to use the situation to her advantage, Veera( Tanvi Azmi) fights for the Righteousness. It’s a cliché and there is nothing which could be said about the story. But as I analyse it- it disturbs me as much as Zero Dark Thirty and Attacks of 26/11 disturbed me. Keeping the fact in lieu that recently there was a major assasination of a Real Estate and Alcohol giant in the NCR region. Is it a real life play of the events which took place to get him down, has the Administration, Disciplinary Authorities and Police have finally found a Strategy against Corruption and Criminals. That here is an Illuminati for Junta to realise that we can expect a better tomorrow.

If I look at the Works as Cinema, there are some definite glitches- for once the cinematography is not upto the par, there are times when you feel that its being really rushed through and in its adaptation from how a real estate emperors work to a movie is little more polished than it actually is. Deepti Naval defintely does not get the required screen-space and Saasha Agha is in a like a blink-and-miss kind of role. I wonder what were they even doing in the movie? Music makes me only notice “Jigra-Fakira” sung by Keerthi Sagathia while I realise that music cannot offer much in the movie.

The Query is that Are we ready for the Cleansing of the System, or the Comfy Zones are too great and Righteousness is definitely Too Tangy !!
