"More than what I had expected, I need to watch it once again!" this was a common reaction of the common man outside a jam packed theatre as people thronged the lines to get tickets in black and at exorbitant rates! Considering the fan base Pawan Kalyan has this was no miracle. His movies are celebrated throughout Andhra (sadly going to be divide!).
From the initial shot to the final one, from action, emotion, drama, comedy to dance and songs everything hit the bulls eye. Made at a whopping budget of over 50 crores this movie might make more than 20 today itself, for sure! The Entertainment quotient of the movie is extremely high and without a doubt Pawan has been the selling point.
The Story - The director must have a lot of guts , I should say to place someone like Pawan who is mainly considered an action star in a highly emotional role, but the move for sure has paid of very well. The story surrounds the rich boy Gautam (played by our star) who does not believe that money brings everything and gives more importance to human relationships and the joys that come with it. His grandfather Raghu Nandan (Boman Irani) on the other hand is more focused on his wealth. But there is problem that is constantly itching his mind; his daughter - Gautam's Aunt has been away from him for a long time and wants to see her in person. The quest of fulfilling his grandfather's request brings Gautam to India.
His Aunt like the rest of his family seems quite rich but is actually in huge debts and there are many problems that is constantly troubling her. Gautam now takes an interesting disguise to solve his aunts problems. The rest of his quest is the interesting part which I don't want to spoil by revealing, you must go and watch it yourself!
The direction - Trivikram is a eclectic genius and the way he adds spice to the story makes this one a must watch. As I have already stated earlier, he did take a huge risk by putting Pawan in the shoes of Gautam but that seems to be the case with geniuses - their guts usually shows them the right direction. The Direction does not leave any loophole and adds more oomph and charisma to already interesting story. I watched this movie for Pawan but let me tell you, I'll watch it again and this time for the director!
The Acting - It is very hard to overshadow an actor like Pawan, and that is the same case with this movie as well. No one overshadows anyone! It was a collective effort. Everyone did their job to the best of their abilities. But the power star still stands out with his unimaginable persona and style! The director has done justice to both the actresses by giving them equal importance in the script. Samantha and Praneetha were both top notch. Brahmanandam's comic timing has always been classic and its betters after every movie. Good actors are great pillars to a story and there is no bad pillar in this one!
The Songs - Devi Prasad is one hell of a music director, I have been listening to the songs of this movie for quite sometime and keep humming them most of the day. The picturization has been brilliant but I felt that could have been better. But no worries there, its no less entertaining that the rest of the movie.
Finally - Pawan Kalyan fans will never miss this one, but even if your not, it not worth missing it. Yeah, you heard me right!! Run to the theaters now.
