Whew! I thought it would never come! I have been looking at the Games since it began. I didn't see everything though because of the different time zones and stuff like that. But from what I saw competition is fiercer and tougher than ever.

Athens 2004, the birthplace of the Games. Actually the Games are going on even as I'm writing this review. It could be real difficult to write a review on the Olympics though. So let's see: a little history about the Games.

The Games first started out as a religious festival to honour the Greek god,ah is it Zeus? Anyways, at first only men were allowed to compete and spectate, but later on women were also given a chance to compete. THe first recorded Games was in 776 BC.

The modern Olympics. Ok what should I say? You guys will have to forgive me if I didn't do this to well, it really is difficult. Oh well. Athletes go to the Olympics, with very high hopes for their country. You should really see how they really put out their best. At the Olympics, it doesn't matter if you win a medal or not, you just do your best, no more no less. You become friends with other athletes, although you compete against them.

We still have a long way to go before the end of this year's Games and then it's another four years before the other Olympics.

The Opening Ceremony of this year's Games was quite interesting. But the only part I was really interested in was the lighting of the Olympic flame. About four hours long too. There was a parade featuring Greece's history and culture which was really interesting too.

Anyways, what more can I say about the Games? We are less than halfway through this year's celebrations. I really am looking forward to the rest of the Games, the competition is really fierce. Did I mention any of the competing athletes this year? NO WAY!! You've got to see for yourself!!!
