Asus' zenfone series has been a hit in the market for the past two years.And now with its budget offering, the Asus zenfone 2 laser( ZE550KL) things are becoming even better.The phone comes with a not so impressive( in paper) 1.2 Ghz Quad core processor( Qualcomm Snapdragon 410) .But in usage this processor especially for this device is far far better than some octa core processors.
There is literally no lags in the UI, all buttery smooth, snappy multi-tasking and is also good enough for gaming.The phone has got a 5.5 inch HD display which actually to my liking is a bit dull.The colours look good but the screen is a bit dull even with the maximum brightness.
The 13 MP rear camera in this device does the job of taking pics very well.Photos comes out be pretty sharp with natural colours and with the laser autofocusing system, the focussing speed is very fast.The selfie 5 MP camera also does the job very well.When you first use the phone, the sound from the speaker seems to be low but when you go to the inbuilt Audio Wizard app and change the equalizer level, the sound improves a lot and becomes much louder.
Battery in this phone is one of the best in this price range.It can easily last a day.The Zen UI from Asus is really cool with many themes and never lags while using.The phone also features Gorilla Glass 4 for screen protection which is one of a kind in this price range.Also with its 16 GB inbuilt memory and SD card expandability, storage shouldnt be a issue.
The phone is a bit curvy which makes it easy to hold.Also the phone looks great.But I dont like the fact that the volume buttons are awkardly positioned at the back of the phone and the power button at the top( power button position is okay but not of the volume button for me) .The phone also has some gestures.
So all in all this phone is very good for the price of Rs 9999 with some unique features and also performs very well inspite of having just a 1.2 GHz Quad core processor.I would surely recommend this.
