Asus does provide a good phones at budget price. Zenfone 5 was a flagship killer. After the success of Zenfone 5, Asus launched series of Zenfone 2. Zenfone 2, Zenfone 2 delux, Zenfone 2 laser, Zenfone 2 with 2 GB RAM and many other variants in under same branding.
I bought Zenfone 2 laser because I like ZenUI. I used Zenfone 5 but had to sell it of in just 2 months as battery was one of the worst on Zenfone 5.
In my opinion Zenfone 2 laser is one of the most overrated phone of the year. In the same price range you get better phones than Zenfone 2 laser.
Cons:
LTE band support. I bought Zenfone 2 and I am using Telenor Gujarat card. This phone does not support Telenor cards. When first time phone came and it did not read telenor SIM I thought, there might be an issue with SIM. So, I changed my SIM with Telenor. But, problem persisted. When I use any other SIM than, it works fine only Telenor SIM it does not read. So, if you are in Gujarat and Happened to use TELENOR than check if it supports your phone and thn buy it. Later I bought Lenovo K3 note and it did support Same TELENOR SIM.
Sound output: Sound out put on this phone is very very low. Again here Lenovo K3 note is a winner. K3 note has Doly Digital speaker support. That's a good thing.
Battery: Battery life is of just 2400 mah. Lenovo K3 note has 2900 mah battery. When you have bigger screen size, you need bigger batteries. Now a days, most of the phones comes with 3000 mah battery. Again Lenovo K3 note is a winner here.
Pros:
Zen UI. All Asus phones runs on Zen UI which is simply the best. Zen UI is the most appreciated custum UI after MIUI.
Laser auto focus camera. As the name suggests it has laser auto focus camera which is helpful in capturing nice camera shots. Now, in this price range Lenovo K3 note has a decent camera performance. Even Meizu M2 and Coolpad note 3 have good camera performance.
2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage which is expandable.
Trust of Asus over brands like Meizu and Coolpad.
If you want to grab a phone in the range of 9k to 10k than you can also think of Lenovo K3 note. This phone did not work for me and I do not recommend other to use it.
