We booked a hotel in Phnom Penh Cambodia through Asiatravel after reading the hotel reviews on trip advisor. All was well until we checked into the hotel to be advised that management had changed and that we were to be charged an extra$25 USD per room. The original rooms we had booked for our extended family were less than this. The hotel staff advised that they had told Asiatravel that the room rates had changed under new management.
Our voucher from Asiatravel clearly stated our hotel room was prepaid and not to pay extra to the hotel for any room rates. We called Asiatravel several times on the contact number provided and were hung up on no less than 5 times! Exasperated and clearly knowing we were being ripped off given the total price we were being asked to pay for a hotel we left And found a hotel nearby for much less than what Asiatravel and the hotel were wanting to charge.
Would never use this website again. Be warned and book with a reputBle online agent like hotels.com or booking.com instead
