First of all this Hospital is Highly over rated because of its Infrastructure. It looks good, has good testing facilities. Once in, the patient need not go anywhere for anything including medicines. But this is a Business technique.
This means they don't want to lose out on the revenue of medicines, Testing Facilities etc.. etc. But the downside is that because of its good infrastructure every other person whoever has seen it will recommend it to someone like me. But not who has undergone treatment in it will recommend it. More people come here from various references of network of physicians.
But here they rush patients through all the Tests they have in their facility with the advice of a junior Doctor who is as good as a person sitting before GOOGLE. They made me took myriad tests, which I discovered with the help of my Doctor Friend are just not required. They will make anybody go through -Ultrasound, Blood Test, Liver Function Test, Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, X-Ray etc etc...which wil sm upto some Rs. 2, 500 to 4, 000.All those tests for diagnosing Bloating of the stomach which the Doctor might have Listened from me directly without all these intrusive tests.
After going through all the exhilarating tests for one whole day, and waiting for the Consultation lasting another half day, all that the doctor spends listening to our problems is just half a minute.Really! All that the senior Doctor spends with us is less than a minute.
So, practically speaking he hasn't listened to our problem and he has prescribed a regular standard list of medicines which are practically available in their pharmacy only.After spending 6 months I have to visit them again, due to no improvement.And again he repeats the same medicines......and again in less than a minute of consultation after hours of waiting.And after second visit as my condition is not improving, and the Doctor not "Listening completely to me" I decided to ask for another "Senior Doctor", and they reply calmly that "Senior Doctor is only approachable when my condition is Critical".
They mean - May be when i'm dying.Taking advantage of their Fancy looking name and near monopoly, these Doctors take patients for granted. In true Business establishment style!!! Not like a Hospital.After struggling with my Gastroenteritis for more than two years I have recently visited another Doctor who is a Specialist in Gastroenterology and maintains a small Clinic. His name is Dr. M. Sudhir.
He is real good. After visiting this Doctor i'm improving now.Not "Asian Institute of Gastroenterology" its "Asian Institute of Bullshit"This Hospital proves again that "Money making is the prime concern for all the so called Good Speciality Hospitals, Serving Hospitals..."
