This is a good hotel to stay in shimla - not in thick city area and located a little away on chandigarh highway, close to quality inn,
Excellent presentation and maintenance. Rooms are really nice, very spacious. Housekeeping is prompt and helping.
Nice rust/dark red carpets, lot of furniture in the room. nice beds.
The bathrooms are the only things that aren't done well in the room - too narrow and the bath area segment is badly designed. The room is huge so the bathroom should have been designe dbetter taking little more space.
Other than that the rooms are amazing, the interiors of the hotel is lovely, it is worth the money.
We reached shimla late in night and on checkin they informed us that dinner will be available till 10:30 pm and we can also get tea coffee if we want.
dinner was quite homely and done pretty well. charged at 150 per person.
parties coming in package tours etc get prioity, the breakfast is not open for all till about 9:00 am though it is open for the package tour folks. it has a homely twist in the menu and that's pretty good. charged at 100 per person.
Food is another weak point here but with shimla's lovely mall road stretch and the food options there it is a nonissue really.
Suggestion - To provide tea/ coffe service using electric kettle and tea/coffe hamper in room. Tea is priced at 40 plus tax which is HIGH!:)
Overall a lovely place to stay in shimla. good view from rooms. Recommended.
