The ashoka hotel is simply superb and out of the world. Excellent room service, awesome ambience spacious rooms- you just cannot describe it all in a few words. A simply wannabe destination for all young couples who visit delhi for the first time and also for those who want a relaxing weekend getaway to break the monotony of daily grind of delhi. Booking is mandatory, staff is courteous and very helpful. My suggestion would be to get a booking done atleast 2 months in advance. Check in to the hotel, have a round of the hotel with its exquisite handicrafts display. Sit in the lounge with exquisite views and have a good chat or whatever. One must also dine at the Darbar with live music to have a taste of real India, Enjoy the mouthwatering delicacies and have a great time. In the evening, rush off to the nearby sarojini nagar flea market or to chanakya theater to catch the latest movies. You can also go in for local sightseeing which is arranged by the hotel if informed in advance. The best thing about the hotel is its being centrally located in one of the greenest parts of delhi and so it is very approachable from the airport as well as the railway station. Other places of interest are also within a doable limit.
