Football teams are permanent, the players arent. In the very first year of the English Premiership, Arsenal finished a not so impressive 10th. At that time, they had a deadly strike force of Wrights and Dennis Bergkamp. Over the 10 years of the English Premiership, Arsenal have constantly improved, and they lifted the Premiership in 2002. Last season however they ended runner up. One permanent fixture and their inspiration for most of the years has been Dennis Bergkamp.
Arsenal's current team is lethal on its day and can destroy any team in the world if they really want to. The coach Arsene Wenger is trully an inspiration to the team. He believes in playing fighting football (and that would explain the high number of cards received by Arsenal players!).
Arsenal has a brillaint strike force comprising Thiery Henry (who not only is a tremendous goal scorer but is also a wonerdful goal creater and team player), Silvan Wiltord, Dennis Bergkamp and Kanu.
Their mid-field is extremely strong with the likes of Patrick Viera (the captain), Fredrik Djunberg, Ray Parlour, Robert Pires (amazingly talented goal scorer) and the very talented brazilian Gilberto.
The defence of Asrenal is very good with Sol Campbell and Martin Keown in the center of defense, Ashley Cole and Lauren on the two flanks ever ready to get forward. Arsenal play a lovely brand of attacking football, but I think they have to improve their results in the UEFA champions league.
