I am a big fan of thriller books. I have read many books from Robert Ludlum, Micheal Crichton, Robin Cook, Jeffry Archer, David Morell etc.
When I read Mathew Reilly's Temple. I knew, I have found a author who can suffice my need for thriller books and I was right about it, Temple was quite good and therefore I selected this book blindly.
But, I am sorry to say. It did not rise to my expectations. It was just that I could not believe whatever was written. The hero Shane Shofield was doing so many unbelievable stunts and coming out alive. It was just impossible. In one section he misses a torpedo, by moving in the gap between the villan's boat and the canyon. Come on man. Then his plane smashes over a Lift or something and it does not even explode and our hero and his team come out alive, without a single scratch. Its like a typical hindi movie.
The story is about a secret place called Area 7 in the Utah desert, Which is visited by the president.
I feel the author has given too much thought to, how he can put action in the book rather then
thinking how he can make the story believable.
Anyway, if you are a die hard fan of action, then I will suggest you go for this one.
