Story:

''Why am I reading this book?'', was what I thought of in the course of reading the book. Its probably the worst ever book by the author. I just kept on continuing in spite of the boredom because, I have read almost all of his works and even though not each of them was great, never had I felt disappointed. But this one, is a big disappointment.

The story starts with simultaneous murders of a few scientists working for the same organization. From this moment on, its their dependents who are targeted and only two wives of the assassinated are left and they start running for their lives. The rest of the story is about how both the women collaborate with each other in trying to find out the reason behind their beloved ones' murders and saving their lives. The plot is insipid to say the least. It lacks pace, imagination and all the while right from the first chapter you start to wonder, ''What the hell?''. A bollywood drama would have been better than this.

The most annoying aspect in the book is the reveries these women enter into in almost every chapter. They will be hiding some where in a shopping mall, escaping from monster like killers and suddenly one of them sees their husband's favorite color and yes, her reverie starts... The entire novel is built upon these reveries and I have never hated a book more than this one.

''Why did I read this to the end?'', was what I thought when I had finally finished this.

Sidney Sheldon himself would have probably written this book in his reverie....
