I recently ordered a product via Amazon, which got shipped via Aramex. However, Aramex failed to deliver it on the delivery date as per their own commitment. So, I called up to figure out what exactly happened. Bellow are the sequence of events which unfolded after I called Aramex:
1) Aramex said they tried to contact me but couldn't reach me
2) I responded saying, I never got any call or missed call from Aramex regarding the delivery. Also I said, that in Bangalore, sometimes network is quite bad, so it is better if you try more than once before concluding that I am not reachable.
3) Aramex reply: We call people only once. [Person should be available in one call in Bangalore, are they dreaming, or it is just a cheap tactic to reduce delivery load, while putting the onus on customers themselves]
4) So, I responded, can you please deliver it today, before 3 PM. Also I told, I have discussed with Amazon and it seems they put item on high priority delivery.
5) Aramex response: We cannot guarantee any delivery time. Since you have contacted Amazon, please coordinate with Amazon for delivery!
What a courier service! At least the customer support is outright pathetic.
