If you bought one of the newer RO models from aquaguard, be warned. In my case it was an Enhance RO+UV+UF+MTDS(EA).
it so happened that after about a year of usage after Filter set change the indicator LED started a fast white blinking light, different from the standard RED / green/ blue light it goes through when you first switch on power to the machine.
So I set upa service call using the eureka forbes app. the service man promptly visited as it was a paid visit, he said "sir you need to replace the filter set". I told him to test the TDS from the filter water, he did . it was 90 PPM. he still insisted that changing the filter was the only way and buying the AMC was the best option . so I did that.
he changed the filter set and lo and behold the blinking white LED was still there . He told me its no problem even if its there. I told him I changed the filters because of the white blinking LED and I want it gone.
he then made a hundred phone calls and then said sir chip is gone, I will get it tomorrow. I the said if chip replacement was the fix why did I replace the filter set for 4 thousand rupees and asked him to test the TDS again. suprise it was 300 PPM . he said its because the filters are new and we should throw away one tank of water. which I did and then we tested again it was still 90 PPM, no different from what it was from old filter set. he then tested the tap water, it had 1000 PPM TDS and said sir TDS reduces to 10% of whatever it is in tap water. moral of the story Aquaguard sent a perfectly good filter set to the garbage dump for their greed for 4 thousand rupees .
next day the tech came with the chip and fitted and fixed the blinking white LED issue . it would have cost 250 rupees!.
this is the sad state of affairs with water filters!.
