Huge Cellular Data Usage. Review on Apple iPhone

Hi I bought iPhone 4s on June 2014. At 1st I was very happy that I had a branded cell phone, with 4.5 inch avg camera. But the actual reason for buying such a expensive phone in 25, 000 is that I had heard that ios platform has nearly 5 lakh apps and IOS is always updating apps almost every month.

But the issue was not that. After I bought the phone, I recharged with Aircel 3g 1gb pack for 30 days. Then I downloaded about 8-10 apps without browsing any app, not even safari.

On the 3 rd day I got a message from Aircel that I consumed 975 mb.  UNBELIEVABLE. How is it possible? Actually it should consume about 500 mb in 3 days.

THEN WHEN I SAW IN SETTINGS->CELLULAR DATA, I found the REAL CULPRIT IS APPLE, WHICH IS INCREASING MY USAGE LIKE ROCKETS. Even today, also without downloading if I only browse SAFARI OR CHROME OR OPERA MINI OR ANY OTHER BROWSER, it consumes MOST OF DATA NEARLY 120 MB PER DAY. But other apps like games or news etc consume less data. When I Googled with "huge cellular data usage in iphone" I found others too share the same problem especially in apple.com.

Another problem I am facing. Safari crashes many times and sometimes keyboard isn't working. Now I m in ios 7.1. Ios 8.1 is available. But I m scared to install 8.1 because many users ARE complaining about the latest update like battery drainage, apps open slowly or crash often, camera not working or sometimes login not possible.

But the BIG ISSUE IS HUGE CELLULAR DATA USAGE. I think apple wants us to switch to WIFI, which I am going to do so WITH NO OPTION LEFT. For this I have to buy a wifi router, again extra money spend.

Ok but security features are good. If a site is fraudulent or untrustworthy Safari warns you.

Today I registered on Mouthshut, so I wanted to share my problem with you. I gave 3star for reliability due to good security feature. I gave only one star for value for money, because it is very expensive with only 6 gb space and no memory card, so you cant transfer any file, contact or music/videos to other phone. Why Apple doesn't provide memory card slot don't know, whether in future apple will provide or not, not sure.

Its design is good but user interface is not stylish and cannot be customized that much. I gave 2 star because its lagging and slow. Sound is average. Only due to apps update and good security I gave 2 star rating.

Instead in 25k you CAN get a better quality android phone, with better camera rear or front with better UI and no cellular data issues.

I am thinking to gift my cousin this iPhone and buy a good android phone, but i'll wait till next year until android lollipop 5.0 arrives.
