I have been using iPhone 2G 8GB for the last 5 months, and I am crazy about it.I got it for 16K and using it with airtel. It has made my life easy. The mail and browser are just gr8, no other mobile are even close to the net experience it can give you.
It will work as a gr8 bussiness phone, the mail client and the excahnge support are nice. The ease of use is gr8. The photo feature is gr8. The build quality is really good. I met with an accident and I was travelling at 60kmph, and the phone fell on the road, but nothing happened to it.
Any other phone would have given up at this point. The visual keyboard is very easy to use. The voice quality is nice. The ipod is gr8 when usee with headphones, but the speakers are poor, a 5K phone now has better speakers than an iPhone.
You can hardly use the hands free on the speakers, as they are close to mouth piece. The person at other side will be complaining of echo.The main disappointment is the price at which it is coming in India, if it was for 22K, it would have ben worth it. Also bluetooth is missing, so no blue jacking and lesser chances of virus attacks.
No other phone gave me the experience what I got from my iPhone. The camera is a disappontment with just being 2MP, but the quality is good when compared to other mobiles with 2MP.
I got a good net speed with Airtel and the download speed was on average of 5-6 Kb/sec.With many application coming on iTunes many of its shortcoming can be overcome.I would only suggest this to someone who is very style concious and is ready to spend some un realistic price for it.If you can get it from US, go for it. After paying the contract and penalty charges and geeting it unlocked, you can get ot for 23K.
