My switch to Android after being on Apple’s ecosystem for a long time wasn’t very smooth so I wanted to switch back to an apple phone without burning a hole in my pocket.

iPhone SE’s affordable price tag caught my attention. And after a lot of brainstorming and against the advise of my tech savvy friends I went for it and here’s my ownership experience of iphone SE.

Initially the display appeared small, however, the eyes got used to it in the first 15-20 minutes of using it. The build quality of the phone is flawless and it fits perfectly in the hand. In fact, its size is ideal for single handed use.

I love the fact that I can plug in my Bose headphone directly into the phone’s 3.5mm headphone jack.

I have the latest version of iOS on my phone, which at the time of writing this review is 12.0.1. Despite the modest hardware specifications(as comparison to the newer iPhones) everything on the phone works seamlessly. There is no perceptible lag or app crash issue. The phone handles all day to day tasks with ease.

With moderate usage the battery lasts 16-17 hours. A half an hour of charge somewhere post mid-day ensures that I comfortably sail though the day even in case of heavy usage.

Camera is perhaps the only area where I feel the age of the phone. Having said that I’d also like to add that quality of photos taken from both the front and rear camera is decent.

In my opinion even in 2018 iPhone SE is still worth considering.
