The ‘boring’ design
Apple explained during the show how it improved on the design of last year’s handset. And it’s definitely not a bad thing to see the iPhone getting an even better, more polished version of Apple’s design from the past two years. But some people will still make a fuss over it, which is certainly understandable.
The removal of the headphone jack
If you ask me, it’s great to see the headphone jack die this year. But those people who also happen to own expensive headphones that feature 3.5mm jacks won’t be happy. We also still don’t know how people will charge their iPhones and listen to music through the Lightning port without a dock. Which brings us to…
The 3.5mm-to-Lightning adapter

Apple will only introduce it when it has the technology to get it right. That means we still have to wait for built-in wireless charging on the iPhone. But I thought we’re getting rid of wires, Apple?
Same screen resolution
The display is getting better compared to last year’s model, as Apple has brought over the iPad Pro’s True Tone display technology to the iPhone. Not that Apple has ever tried to match the competition’s hardware, of course.
The absolute worst: the iPhone 7 Plus isn’t just a bigger iPhone 7 anymore
The iPhone 7 Plus is the iPhone to buy this year. It’s got an amazing dual-lens rear camera and supposedly more RAM than it’s smaller sibling. It’s the first time Apple isn’t launching two similar iPhones, and something many people will hate about the new iPhone family.
