IPhone 6s is not a great phone to buy over iPhone 6. in terms of looks they look alike. except the rose gold colour of iPhone 6s and a symbol'S' in the bottom(rarely visible in normal use) there's no difference in terms of looks.
In terms of features, the major difference is its RAM, which is twice the size of the iPhone 6(in terms of numbers). which is negligible in daily usage.
12MP camera, 5MP front camera
Camera has been increased from 8MP to 12MP and front has been increased from 1.2MP to 5MP which takes great picture. there's great amount of detailing in the picture.
This is 1 feature which could be considered while buying iPhone 6s over iPhone 6.
Fast FingerPrint Sensor.
iPhone 6s supports a very fast finger print sensor which is very useful in very urgent situations and also needed to compete with other android phones which have very good fingerprint sensors.
3D Touch
This is the sole feature except the rose gold color of iPhone 6s which really makes it stand out of the crowd and has also got great attention of many buyers and tech geeks. This feature is initially at a primary stage and does not give that great usability to general users. it is getting much more useful with the ios update(IOS10).
*So, If a general buyer who is looking for an iPhone experience I would recommend you to go for iPhone 6 because if you want a big iPhone just for show off or for general usage.
But if there is an iPhone lover or a phone geek who spend most of the time with his phone, then I would recommend you iPhone 6s because you can get a great experience and would explore the 3D touch a lot.
But if you are buying IPhone for your kid who has just joined his college and want an iPhone or for your parents who generally don't make a great use of phone in terms of variety of feature( just like 3D touch) then also go for iPhone 6.*
For Colour:
This is each one's personal preference. but I personally like the space grey(black) one. I would also recommend you to go with space grey and if you want to go for white front then go for Silver. that looks very decent.
But after all its your personal preference, that which colour do you like.
