IPhone 3GS factory unlocked . Review on Apple iPhone 3GS

This is my first review on mouthshut.

I have been a sort of gizmo freek. I have used Nokia 371 & 72 used blackberry and many other phones. Although I must say I have beena loyal customer of Nokia. I had e71 for more than a yr and I wanted to get it replaced. But after reading lots of review infact negative review about iphone I was bit uncertain. Still with an open mind I go to one of the shops in the mall at start of alpha lane.

Now I had following querries which he helped me finding a answer

Can I forward the sms? YES

Can I send it to multiple people ? YES (no extra software required)

Does it gets locked everytime I shut down the cell/ NO (I have restarted my cell 7times to check it)

Can I reply to emails of microsoft exchange and other emails like hotmail gmail yahoo? YES (and it gives a very proper font formatting and does not changes it to plain text instead of HTML)

So I was like I guess I will give it a try

I bought it for 34k factory unloacked (gt 6k for my old e71 so had to pay 28k)

Now its a week and below is my observation

Outstanding voice clarity

compase is a good tool

ipod without doubt is excellent

camera is pretty decent Now please dont compare it with a camera but its wonderful vry neat althoug in night its a bit difficult for clarity

only and only issue I have faced till now is for everythign I need the itune software but guess its ok

Guys if you want any info pls ask the question and I will try it on my iphone 3GS and reply

but its a class phone and jst WOWWWWWW :)

This is to continue my review. Now what I did is I myself jailbreaked my iPhhone. jailbreaking means just removing the restriction of apple to only install apple signature applciation Now I can install themes, have my customized wallpaper, and many many many more things

i had 3 issues with iphone

1 while writing SMS it would not show character count. Now this can lead to writing bigger sms and lead to extra cost. After jailbreaking I insalled iRealSMS3.0 and it replaced my exisitng inbuilt SMS application and now I have all the features like a normal nokia phone. I can creata folders and save messages to draft and also have the word count so this issues is resolved

1. I had a issue tht frm bluetooth I cannot send or receive any music or pic or anything. So I installed iBlueNova application and guess what now I can share everything you tell me songs of pics or even notes and other file.

   
   




2. I also installed emailPlus which helped me in allowing to attach emails which I send and also edit attachments .

   
   

I guess now I dont see any issue with anything.

I love my iphone

Today I upgrade my software from 3.1.3 to iOS 4.0 and baseband got upgraded from 5.12 to 5.13

It is still unlocked and guys its works wonderful.

Most of the issues which where in 3.1.3 like while typing sms it didnot gave count of sms characters typed is now resolved in iOS4.0

Also the speed of iphone have increased

now we can make folders in which we can group applications

also now can have walpaper

and remaining features u can visit on apple sire

Once I jailbreak my iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.0 shall update the post and let you know about the process.
