Actually I own the mini 3, as they both are similar except for finger print sensor.so I am sharing my experience.
I am using ipad for 4 months now and I am amazed with the performance. Even though its processor is 2 yrs old it handels ios like a beast.
When I got it was running on ios 8 after 2 months it got updated to ios 9 and recently to 9.2. I use it as my daily driver it is just amazing. I mainly use it for gaming and it handels anything I throw at it no lag or anything like that
The display is great, speakers are quiet loud, apps open up quickly, camera is good in ample light conditions, the finger print sensor is accurate and reliable.Ram management is good.
Though mini 4 has come out its still a good buy.
The thing that amazes me is the battery life. I failed to draw it to 5% within a day, the standby time is incredible, I left it charge at 100% and directly used it after 5 days it was still on 99% .
I will recommend it if you are an ios lover and want a compact tablet.But still did not got that why did apple gave the same specs to mini 3? .
