Following the launch of the iPad mini 4, we've seen a nice reduction in the price of the iPad mini 2 ( previously known as the iPad mini with Retina display) , making it an even more attractive choice for anyone that doesn't want the latest shiny model. You might wonder why the iPad mini 3 is no longer on sale, yet the mini 2 still exists. Both models have pretty much exactly the same specs, minus the Touch ID fingerprint reader, yet the mini 2 is still hanging around and still holds its own, even to this day.
Having ceased production of the iPad mini 3, Apple has definitely made the iPad mini 2 a much more attractive purchase. It's now available for just £219 for the 16GB model, and £259 for the 32GB. At this price, it's less than the original iPad Air, which you'll find has the same screen resolution at 2, 048 x 1, 536. There is one caveat to purchasing the iPad mini 2 so far along its lifecycle: it's no longer available in all the storage capacities it once was, with only the 16GB and 32GB models still rearing their heads. That being said, here's our updated review of the iPad mini 2, which is fast approaching its third birthday.
