I absolutely love the sleek and clean design, but I was skeptical about it's durability. I have had no problems with it at all, and I have used it a lot, so I would say this thing is pretty durable. It's definitely a gadget that you can count on working when you need it to work. The retina display is so great to watch movies on the go, but I do wish the speaker had better sound(nothing headphones can't fix). Games and even other demanding apps run smoothly.
It's shocking how much faster the 4th generation iPads are compared to earlier models. Problems I have had with apps crashing have been mostly a result of a glitchy app, but these are still few and far between. The camera is not bad, but does not do well in low light situations. Unfortunately there is also no flash. As apps have advanced, I have been able to use my iPad as a laptop replacement in many situations. Overall, this is one of my favorite and most used gifts of all time. Well worth the buy if you're considering it
